In 1949, Chinese workers and farmers made one of the most important revolutions in world history. Now, China stands as one of the major stronghold of world capitalism. Over the last decade and a half, its international presence and influence have been transformed into those of a leading imperialist power.

Keith Leslie is an independent historian and rank and file worker. In this Socialist Resurgence webinar, he gave an analysis on how and why China went from a workers state to an imperialist country, and some of the implications that change has for the global class struggle.
